Stuart Hall COVID-19 Announcement — Stuart Hall School for Boys

Stuart Hall COVID-19 Announcement

COVID-19 UPDATE (1).png

Today at 1:00 PM, Governor John Bell Edwards issued a proclamation that there would be a statewide school closure to mitigate the transmission of COVID-19 in our community.  Beginning on Monday, March 16, Stuart Hall School for Boys will suspend all classes and all activities on and off-campus. We will return to campus once there is a firm confirmation from local and state officials.  We remain centered on the safety and well being of our boys, your sons.  We pledge to you our unwavering support and flexibility during our first-time experience with the mitigation of a virus.

We start this phase of teaching and learning with flexibility for families to get acclimated to off-campus learning and their new schedules with their children and employment.  During the next few weeks, we will “construct” our Stuart Hall School for Boys Community culture using our myKnights online environment to deliver our value-based curriculum that integrates the elements of Faith, Scholarship, Leadership, and Honor. Our teachers’ Daily Announcements will provide prayer and various forms of communication and directions about the day’s lessons. Your sons’ various teachers will include the qualities of friendship, compassion, thankfulness, peacemaker, courage, perseverance, responsibility, and honesty as they present the lessons.  We will carefully carry forward our Stuart Hall culture in our minds, hearts, and actions.

As a community, we will pray: "Effective learning means arriving at new power, and the consciousness of new power is one of the most stimulating things in life." - Janet Erskine Stuart, RSCJ
